About Us 
​

New Forest Mindfulness was founded in 2018 by Dr Maret Dymond-Basset (PhD, DClinPsych, BA) and specialises in offering psychological awareness-based coaching and training to executives, professionals, teams and organisations. 

​

A Clinical Psychologist by profession, Maret has worked for over 25 years with individuals and teams across a variety of sectors and organisations, including in health and social care, business (including commerce, manufacturing, travel, property and retail), academia, and the not for profit sector.

​

With a PhD in attachment theory, training in coaching psychology & mind-body somatic coaching, an Inner MBA qualification and a background as a Mindfulness Teacher-Trainer-Researcher with The University of Oxford, Maret is ideally placed to enable executives, professionals, teams and organisations to grow, flourish and thrive from the inside out.

Maret has been fortunate over the years to have the opportunity to closely collaborate with highly qualified, experienced leaders in many fields, including psychology, awareness, coaching, neuropsychology, systemic, clinical and organisational psychology.

 

Over recent years Maret has been fortunate to combine forces with two inspirational psychologists: Dr's Angela Griffin and Anna Hames who have together formed "Connected Potential". Acceptance, trust, patience, kindness, human vulnerability & resilience alongside a non-judging attitude are at the heart of all we do. We aim to support organisations and teams to develop a culture of relational and psychological safety; which high quality research demonstrates can have a huge impact on team effectiveness and employee experience, and in turn relates to quality, safety, performance and profitability.

 As well as teams and organisations, we also work with individual professionals / leaders / executives, enabling them to grow personally and professionally through an innovative combination of relational awareness training, somatic practice, and psychology: the science of thinking, feeling and behaving.
