Mindful Retreat Days

We are delighted to be able to offer days of nourishing practice to those who have already completed an eight week mindfulness course and wish to deepen their understanding through a day of nourishing practice in the New Forest.

Our retreat days take place in beautiful locations such as Furzey Gardens, Minstead; Hazelhurst Farm, Sway; The Retreat New Forest, Hinton; and Applecourt Gardens, Hordle. Guided by our teachers and guest teachers they aim to provide a space for respite and self-care in our busy lives.

"I really enjoyed the Saturday... For me it was like having a holiday away from the everyday pressures of life."

Course Details

Our Retreat Days are a wonderful way to spend time in the company of other mindful practitioners, exploring different aspects of Mindfulness. The majority of the day is spent in silence, with the intention of cultivating a greater sense of present awareness, free of the usual social pressures and obligations we all feel.

The day begins with a hot drink, snack and introduction from the teacher, followed by a series of guided meditations. These include both still practices, and those involving gentle movement and walking. A shared lunch (or bring your own if you prefer) is followed by additional practice, before we come out of silence and take a little time to reflect on our experience of the day.

Days are focused around a particular topic, recent examples have included 'New Year, Starting Again' and 'Finding Stability in the Midst of Uncertainty'.

As part of the day is spent in the forest, gardens or countryside comfortable clothing, weatherproof footwear and coats are advised. We also ask participants to bring their own yoga mat and meditation cushion if you have these.

We schedule several of these days throughout the year so if the next date does not suit you, please keep checking for updates or do get in touch.
