Mindfulness Practice Days

We are happy to be able to offer days of nourishing practice to those who have already completed an eight week mindfulness course (it doesn't have to have been one of our courses, all MBCT/MBSR/MBCP graduates are welcome) and wish to deepen their understanding through a day of nourishing practice and / or maintain an already established practice.

Our first face to face Retreat Day in 2024 will take place on Sunday 30 June in Tiptoe, in a beautiful garden studio the heart of the New Forest.

The theme of the day will be living with compassion through Polarised Times.

Course Details

Our Retreat Days are a wonderful way to spend time in the company of other mindful beings, exploring different aspects of the practice of mindfulness. The majority of the day is spent in silence, with the intention of cultivating a greater sense of present awareness, free of the usual social pressures and obligations we all feel.

The day begins with a hot drink, snack and introduction from the teacher, followed by a series of guided meditations. These include both still practices, and those involving gentle movement and walking. Lunch is provided by the group via shared simple dishes/contributions or you can bring your own lunch if you prefer. The afternoon continues with further practices and we then have time to reflect on the day and connect with each other before we finish.

As part of the day is spent in the grounds of the venue, comfortable clothing, weatherproof footwear and coats are advised. We ask participants to bring their own yoga mat, blanket and meditation cushion if you have these and we will also have these available for those who don't.

The Retreat day will take place in an accessible well-ventilated space.

Weather permitting, we also hope to run some of the day outdoors in the beautiful surroundings.

If you have any questions about the  facilities or the day itself please do get in touch.
