We live in an era where many professionals feel increasing levels of stress and anxiety. Work places can be volatile, challenging, constantly changing, uncertain environments.

Mindfulness and self-compassion can provide leaders with a new set of skills and tools to navigate through and stay steady within the modern workplace.

At the New Forest Mindfulness Centre, we tailor our programmes for professionals and organisations to suit your needs. Whether you are looking for a single 'taster' training session, a more comprehensive course or something tailored for a particular individual, please do get in touch to find out more.

We are also delighted to be able to offer professionals, teams and organisations our new collaboration "Connected Potential" please click here for more information.

“Employers should promote the use of mindfulness and develop an understanding of good practice”
UK Parliamentary Report, 2015

What we Offer

Our training sessions provide an introduction to the theory and practice of mindfulness and self-compassion, as well as the research literature / evidence base relevant to your particular profession/organisation.

A session would include the opportunity to experience some of the fundamental practices, as well as the opportunity for participants to further explore through discussion with the facilitators what they noticed and learnt from these. This is particularly important because learning about mindfulness and self-compassion is like any other skill it needs to be practiced and tried out in order to fully experience it and learn from it.

A presentation could also be included, about the evidence base around mindfulness, for example regarding pain, stress and/or anxiety, or in regard to the workplace and / or any other areas deemed appropriate for the participant group.

Taster Sessions: 1 Hour to up to a Half Day

This provides a basic introduction to mindfulness and self-compassion, which is sufficient in itself for participants to decide whether they are interested in embarking upon a longer course or immersive full day experience.

Full Day Session

This will allow for going a little deeper into the theory of mindfulness and self-compassion and allows participants to immerse themselves in the experience. it also allows more time to consider the relevance of mindfulness and self-compassion in relation to participants own experiences and their professional practice/workplace. It also allows for more time to cover some of the relevant research literature.

8-Week Course

A complete introduction to the practice of mindfulness meditation, self-compassion and personal experience of how bringing this skill into everyday life /the workplace may enhance mental and physical wellbeing, creativity and productivity. Courses run for 8-weeks for between 1.5 to 2.25 hours per week. They can also include an immersive practice day experience.
