Counselling with Kate
We currently have availability for 1:1 counselling sessions with our counsellor Kate Alexander. Sessions are currently being offered face2face in Brockenhurst.
My name is Kate Alexander and I am a fully qualified humanistic, integrative counsellor based in the New Forest. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, which means I’m member of an association that makes sure I’m always working with your best interests at heart. Creating a safe and trusting relationship is at the very centre of our work together. I am passionate about guiding people through challenging times and helping them understand themselves and how to navigate the world around them better.
We will work together to explore your story and discover what you really want out of your relationships and life. I can assist by providing a safe space, where you feel heard and understood, where you are met with compassion and acceptance - to help you to try and make sense of your emotions so that life can begin to feel easier.
As the work together progresses we undertake regular reviews to ensure you’re achieving a positive direction from therapy and to reflect on how you are finding the experience. The aim is to help you become clearer about both the extent and the effect of the problem and to help you recognise possible solutions, ones that will work for you.
Having previously worked with New Forest Mindfulness for 2 years I developed an interest in Mindfulness and meditation which I still practice and find extremely beneficial now. I’m married with two children and I’m at my happiest outdoors, in the forest or by the sea.
