Child and Parent Workshops

Skills Based Workshops for Parents and Children

Would you like to help your child to

  • Learn more about how to manage big feelings?

  • Explore how to deal with tricky thoughts?

  • Foster kindness in their relationships?

Our workshops help parents and children learn together about how the emotional brain-body connection works and how this can help us to connect with our experience and calm ourselves when we’re stressed.

Consisting of a combination of  stories, mindfulness meditation practices, chatting, fun and games these workshops take place at our New Forest Centre and are suitable for children of a variety of ages. See details below.

Through stories and fun practical exercises we will explore together, how the mind works, how to notice feelings in the body, how to work with difficult thoughts like ‘others are better than me’ or ‘I’m not good enough’ rather than buying into them.

We will also begin to investigate how to begin to manage big feelings like sadness, disappointment, fear and anger and skills for fostering a friendly and kind relationship with ourselves and others
